November is finally here. Though it seemed to come a few days early with that massive cold front that hit Texas over the past couple of days. This blog will be all about top travel destinations in November, fantastic food ideas, and a few decorations that will add some pumpkin spice and everything nice to your RV! To start let's talk about some top places to visit this month! 

  1. Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Arizona.
    • Their busy season is throughout December till March so visiting in November is perfect! Who doesn't love less crowded parks? The high in November can be 75 degrees and the low can be around 40 degrees at night. There are a lot of scenic drives, hiking trails. campgrounds, and park rangers programs that are sure to keep you busy during your stay. For more information on this Arizona beauty click here.
  2. Death Valley National Park in California. It's the least busy during November and December.
    • Need a reason to visit California? Head to Death Valley National Park during November or December and you can escape the crowds! Death Valley is the hottest, driest, and lowest National Park in the park system but during the winter months the weather falls around 65 to 78 degrees for the high and 39 to 45 degrees for the low. Death Valley has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for you and your family and friends to enjoy. Also, you can go on a guided tour of the park with a park ranger.   3. Motorhomes of Texas in Nacogdoches, Texas
    • On Friday, November 22nd we will be hosting a Thanksgiving event for our employees and our valued customers (YOU). If you would like to come please RSVP by November 15th! There will be plenty of Thanksgiving type food and it will be lots of fun! Hope to see you there.

The menu for any road trip could make it one to remember or one to forget. Don't worry we've got you covered from appetizer to dessert.

  1. Appetizer: Skillet Spinach Artichoke Dip with Fire-Roasted Bread 
    • This scrumptious appetizer is sure to kick off any mean right. It's a campfire twist on a classic appetizer favorite, who wouldn't love it? All you will need is canola oil, 1 package of cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, a clove of garlic, salt, pepper, artichokes, spinach, olive oil, and fresh country bread. This is already making me hungry for more!
  2. Side Dish: Cheesy Brat Casserole 
    • A great side dish during this season combines 2 of everyone's favorite things; cheese and casserole! All you will need for the this recipe is bratwurst, potatoes, cheddar cheese, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and a chopped white onion. This is the perfect salty pairing for your main dish below.
  3. Main Course: Cider-Braised Chicken, Brussels Sprouts, and Apples 
    • The biggest part of the meal is sure to tie the entire meal together. It mixes chicken and apples that most people enjoy to try and camouflage the Brussels sprouts. This is a great recipe to get the younger ones in the family to eat their vegetables!
  4. Dessert: Streusel Apple Bread
    •  Finally, we saved the best for last! This Streusel Apple Bread just screams all things November! All you will need is basic cookie recipe ingredients mixed with apples, lemon peel, walnuts, cranberries, and sour milk or orange juice! Let us know if we need to add this to our dessert menu for November 22nd!

Finally, it's time to talk all things decor! 

  1. Give Thanks Pumpkin
    • This is a great centerpiece for any dinner table! You can customize it to say anything you want, like your favorite thing about Autumn! Swing by a hobby lobby grab a white pumpkin, gold paint markers, fake flowers, and a hot glue gun and you are all set! 
  2. DIY Basket Wreath 
    • This is a great idea for a door decoration! It will send warm greetings to anyone who passes by your RV! All you will need is a round shallow basket or a basket lid, faux fall flowers, a hot glue gun, black craft paint, a paint brush, a sharpie, and ribbon or burlap! 
  3. Fall Mason Jars 
    • This DIY takes a plain old mason jar and gives it a simple, yet chic makeover! All you will need is a fall color paint(white, yellow, gold, deep red, etc.), a paint brush, a stencil, and of course a couple of mason jars! This is a great addition to a window sill, fireplace mantle, or kitchen counter!
