Hey, Motorhomes of Texas fans! For this blog post we will be diving into all things December themed. From classic holiday movie hits to watch, creative DIY projects and great places to park your motorhome for a winter wonderland getaway!

The first thing on our list will be Holiday movies that are sure to bring everyone together. From Christmas classics to new Christmas romantic comedies, there is sure to be a Christmas movie to warm your heart this season. Take a peek and see if any of these sound like a good way to start your holiday movie-watching season off right.

  • It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
  • Elf (2003)
  • A Christmas Story (1983)
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
  • Love Actually (2003)
  • The Polar Express (2004)
  • Klaus (2019)
  • Last Christmas (2019)

The next thing that is sure to spruce up your Christmas mood, is a little DIY Christmas decor. These indoor and outdoor decorations will make it feel like Christmas the entire month of December. Also, the best part about making your own decorations is that you can get every member of the family to help out! (Maybe put on a holiday movie while you make the crafts?)

  • The first DIY project is a: Christmas Treat Jar to store all your Christmas goodies in! All you will need is a small jar with a lid, Glitter (red, white, and brown), googly eyes, red pom poms, black ribbon, silver foam sheet, black beads, orange paper, decoupage, hot glue, and pipe cleaners. The full step by step directions and video on how to do the project can be found using the link above. Your end product should look like so:
  • The second DIY project for you and your family to enjoy is this: Cute Christmas Sign for your RVs door! The creator of this project said it took them about 10 minutes to create and the final product looks like something someone would buy at a craft store. All you will need is a cricut machine, vinyl, weeding tool,  squeegee tool, scissors, bells, glue, and a shadow box. The full step by step directions on how to do the project can be found using the link above. Maybe double the amount of supplies you purchase so you can give one of your beautiful creations away as a Christmas gift. Your final creation should look something like this:

  • The final project on our Christmas list this year is some DIY Christmas Countdown Blocks just in case you need help remembering how close it is till Christmas Day! All you will need are: 4 small wooden blocks, a 1x4 wood plaque, paint, modge podge, and printable squares or scrapbook paper and stickers. You can also get some cute Christmas themed figurines to put next to the blocks for some extra holiday cheer. The full step by step directions on how to do the project can be found using the link above. Your completed Christmas blocks should look something like this:
